GDPR and Privacy Policy
We care about your privacy and strive to protect your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. This document explains how we handle personal data and the rights you have.
What is GDPR?
The GDPR is a European regulation designed to strengthen the protection of individuals personal data. It applies to all companies and organizations that process personal data about people within the EU.
1. Processing of personal data
Arctic Aviation Hub collects and stores the following information about you: contact details, gender, your professional role and or education, associated company and health information that you voluntarily provide to us such as dietary preferences and allergies. We also store communication and participation in events organized by Arctic Aviation Hub and event photos in which participants may be visible.
The information you receive depends on how we categorize your customer type depending on project. We use the personal and health data we collect for business development, communication, marketing and lobbying including:
- For sending newsletters, surveys and information about opportunities in the region based on legitimate interest.
- For sending invitations to business related events, training programs and lectures that we organize based on legitimate interest.
- For maintaining our contact list based on legitimate interest.
- For serving suitable food to you at our events based on consent.
- For supporting you and or your company in growth and development based on consent.
- For informing about what is happening in Skellefteå and within our area of expertise based on legitimate interest.
2. How we collect your data
We collect personal data that you voluntarily provide to us for example when you communicate with us via email or other channels, when you visit our website, when you register for or ask us to send newsletters and when you sign up for an event.
In some cases your personal data has been supplemented with public information gathered from other sources including searches via available search engines, industry specific newsletters, social media and your employers website in order to confirm your current professional position.
3. Sharing your personal data
We do not sell, rent, distribute or otherwise make your personal data available to third parties with the following exceptions:
- Third party services for storing personal data such as CRM systems.
- Social media platforms where data is stored on their servers.
- Google G Suite and Analytics.
- Project staff employed by parties other than Arctic Aviation Hub and contracted consultants.
- Project financiers.
In our projects we are required to report our work to our financiers such as the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth and the European Union. During reporting they may gain access to event photos and information about how many individuals participated in our events. If an event is aimed at our member companies we must also report how many individuals from each company attended.
We do not share individual names with financiers only aggregated numbers.
3.1 Third party storage
Arctic Aviation Hub may also use a service from a third party to collect and store your personal data and to share your personal data with a third party in a country outside the EU.
The processing of your personal data may therefore be governed by data protection legislation that differs from the laws in your country.
Personal data collected within the European Union may for example be transferred to and processed by third parties located in a country outside the European Union. In such cases Arctic Aviation Hub will ensure that the transfer of your personal data complies with applicable data protection laws and in particular that appropriate contractual, technical and organizational safeguards are taken such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
4. Storage and deletion of my personal data
We store your data until your contact information is no longer valid or until you request that your data be deleted for communication purposes and for legitimate business reasons.
You have the right to know which personal data we process about you and may request a copy.
You may at any time request:
- Access to the register (the right to receive information about and request access to the personal data we process about you)
- Correction (your right to amend or update your personal data if it is incorrect or incomplete)
- Deletion (your right to have your personal data removed)
- Restriction (the right to request that we temporarily or permanently stop processing all or some of your personal data)
- Data portability (the right to request a copy of your personal data in electronic format and the right to transfer this personal data for use in another party service)
You have the right to unsubscribe from our communications at any time without any negative effects.
5. Protection of your personal data
We are committed to protecting your personal data and have implemented technical solutions to secure it. We have also introduced policies to ensure how and who has access to your personal data and that these individuals have been trained in handling personal data correctly.

When we make significant changes to this policy we will notify you by sending an email.
