RESULTAT:
The project successfully identified and addressed key requirements for integrating drone platforms and other transport modes into mobility hubs in Skellefteå municipality. Key outcomes include:

Stakeholder Mapping and Workshops: The project engaged stakeholders from various sectors, including public authorities, private industry, and academia, through workshops to identify needs, behaviors, and opportunities linked to mobility hubs.

Technical and Safety Requirements: Comprehensive studies were conducted on the technical integration of drone platforms, including infrastructure needs, cost assessments, and the importance of ensuring safety corridors for drones.

Shared Infrastructure and Efficiency: Recommendations were made for how various transport providers, including electric vehicle sharing, eVTOL operators, and logistics companies, can share infrastructure at public mobility hubs to improve resource efficiency.

Simulation of Potential Hub Locations: Simulations helped identify suitable locations for mobility hubs in Skellefteå, considering costs, business models, and infrastructure prerequisites.
Development of Planning Processes: New planning methodologies for cold-climate mobility hubs were developed, focusing on future-proofing and flexibility to adapt to evolving technological needs.

Sustainability and Behavior Change: The project emphasized sustainability by exploring strategies to promote climate-smart travel behaviors and reduce reliance on private vehicles.

These outcomes provide a solid foundation for future projects and long-term testing of innovative planning methods for mobility hubs in cold climates.
